Postgraduate Study Tour
Master of Business Administration, Master of Management, Master of International Business, and Master of Business students will have the opportunity to participate in a study abroad tour in August 2017 as part of the elective subject, MGNT939: Global Business Practices (6 credit points).
This study tour presents an opportunity for UOW post-graduate business students to observe the Singaporean business landscape and local culture, and understand the nature and scale of key sectors that Singapore companies have expertise in such as transport and logistics, environment and infrastructure solutions and technology businesses. Through visits to PSB Academy to prepare and give context, followed by visits to industries and local government departments, it is envisaged that participants will undergo experiential learning in environments that are culturally, physically and institutionally diverse.
The tour offers a personal development experience to help students become global citizens with an Asia-Pacific focus ̶ becoming cosmopolitan leaders. Meeting with business representatives, it is envisaged that students will be able to reflect on the culture, social norms and ethical business practices of Singapore (in comparison to Australia), which will enhance their capacity to manage in a global business environment.
Anticipated dates: 13th – 20th August 2017
Approximate total cost: TBA
