Women in MBA (Self Employed)

Scholarships: partnering for diversity in leadership

Sydney Business School is committed to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and aims to support SDG 5: Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls by offering 50 Women in MBA Scholarships including 10 to self employed women. A Master of Business Administration has a significant impact on career pathways and is particularly powerful in enabling middle-managers to progress to executive and board room roles.

Sydney Business School, UOW support future female leaders by providing:

Sydney Business School will contribute a minimum of 40% of the total tuition cost. This means for example, tuition fees are reduced to 60% as Sydney Business School contributes the other 40%.

Sydney Business School will also offer a mentor outside the student’s industry to help provide guidance and support from a third-party point of view.

Additionally, you will be required to source mentoring from within your section to complement this general mentoring.

As a recipient, you will be invited to academic and professional events where you will be able to network with other recipients and industry members.

Working full-time whilst studying and managing other commitments can be a daunting prospect and to be honest, it was the support provided via the WiMBA program that was the deciding factor for me to take on the challenge of an MBA. The skills, knowledge and practices learned will be invaluable throughout my career journey and I would highly recommend the program to any females seeking to extend and expand their strategic business, knowledge and leadership expertise.
